The Gators finished their regular season strongly, easily defeating Utah at home. Randy contributed a 9.850 on floor. Randy again scored a 9.850 on floor at the SEC Championships. The team totaled a 197.050 for first place. Last night, the Gators won the Salt Lake City Regional, qualifying for the NCAA Championships.

On March 5, Randy helped the Gators to win the 3-way meet with North Carolina and Ball State. Randy placed third on balance beam with a 9.875 and first on floor exercise scoring a 9.875. The Florida gymnastics team will host Utah on Friday, March 19.

On Friday, Randy helped Florida defeat Auburn with a fourth place beam performance. Against Georgia, Randy competed on beam and floor. She placed fifth on floor with a 9.875.

Over the past few weeks, the University of Florida has been making steady improvements. Against Kentucky, Randy finished sixth on balance beam with a 9.700. This past weekend, Randy returned to the floor lineup against NC State. She scored a 9.800 for third place. Florida will next take on Alabama on Friday, February 12.

The University of Florida Gymnastics Team earned their first win of the season against Arkansas last night! Randy competed on both balance beam and floor. She tied for third place on beam with a 9.825.

Randy competed in her first NCAA meet last night against Oklahoma. She competed on balance beam only. After a rough start on bars, Florida had a solid meet on the remaining events finishing second to Oklahoma.

Congratulations Randy: 2008-2009 Senior US National Team Member! Randy's fourth VISA Championships concluded today in Boston, MA. She did really well today and improved her all-around score from 57.050 (prelims) to 58.950 (finals). Randy's best performance of the night was her floor where she scored 15.450! She finished 9th in the all-around, tied for 10th on balance beam and 9th on floor exercise. Randy, along with top 12 seniors plus Alicia Sacramone, made the Senior US National Team. The Senior US National Team Members as well as six gymnasts, who are invited, qualified to the U.S. Olympic Trials in Philadelphia, PA on June 19-22. Good job Randy! Randy is in Boston, MA for the VISA Championships. Right now, she is eleventh in the all-around out of 21 gymnasts. Randy’s best performances came on vault and floor exercise. She tied for seventh place on vault scoring 14.7 and also tied for 12th on floor exercise scoring 14.6 She scored 14.5 on balance beam with a clean routine. Randy had a rough time during third rotation on uneven bars where she scored 13.25. Randy will continue her competition during the finals on Saturday at 3:30 am EST. Full results have been posted.

Randy's 4th VISA Championships will begin next week! The first day of competition will be on Thursday, June 5 at 7:00 PM EST. The second day will be on Saturday, June 7 at 3:30 PM EST. On the first day of competition, Randy will be 5th gymnast up on floor exercise during first rotation.
To qualify to be on the Senior USA National Team, Randy will need an average all-around of 56 (combining day 1 and day 2 scores) or higher and place in the top 12.
USA Gymnastics, International Gymnast, and Inside Gymnastics will provide live scoring, news, pictures, etc during the VISA Championships. We will do our best to keep Randy's website updated as soon as we get news and results. You can see the schedule (seniors only) for next week below.

Randy just finished competing today at US Classic in Houston, Texas. She started on vault with a clean double twisting Yurchenko scoring 14.8 for 4th place. She then did a clean uneven bars routine scoring 14.15. Randy fell on balance beam scoring 13.45. She finished the competition on floor exercise where she scored a huge score of 15.3 for 1st place! She placed 3rd in the all-around with a 57.7. Good job Randy! Congratulations to Randy's teammate, Gabrielle Douglas, who qualified to her first Junior VISA Championships. Randy and Excalibur teammates Sherise Clark, Gabrielle Douglas, and Krystine Jacobsen will be competing this Friday, May 23rd at 2008 US Classic in Houston, Texas. Randy will use this competition as a tune up for the upcoming VISA Championships in two weeks. Good luck Randy!

Randi competed today at the Texas Dreams Elite Qualifer. She finished 1st in the all-around in senior division with a 58.15. She scored 14.65 on vault, 14.0 on bars, 15.4 on beam, and 14.1 on floor exercise. Randy qualified to the VISA Championships in Boston, MA. Congratulations Randy!

Randy competed last weekend at the Gymnix International in Montreal, Canada. She did really well, placing 3rd in the all-around with a 56.525! She placed 2nd on vault, 8th on balance beam, and 1st on floor exercise. Randy qualified to two event finals; balance beam and floor exercise. She placed 3rd on beam scoring 14.500 and 1st on floor exercise scoring 14.675. Good job Randy!

Last weekend, Randy competed at the Excalibur Cup where she won the all-around title. She placed 2nd on vault, 1st on uneven bars, 3rd on balance beam, and 1st on floor exercise. We have posted full results from the meet. Good job Randy!

Randy competed at the Parkette Invitational last night where she placed 11th in the all-around and placed 4th on floor exercise scoring 9.575. results have been added from the meet. Congratulations to Randy's teammate, Krystine Jacobsen, for qualifying to junior pre-elite!

Randy competed last weekend at the Brestyan's Invitational. She had been sick with the stomach flu and could not practice for a few days before the competition. Randy decided to compete anyway to help the team. She won vault with a Yurchenko full scoring 9.575 (Video). She also showed her brand new floor exercise for the first time (Video)! Randy placed 4th in the all-around. Randy will compete next at the Parkette's Invitational at the beginning of February.
